We've changed our name! To serve you better, we've changed our name to
SanDiegoTraumaTherapy.com
The San Diego Trauma Therapy website is a source of educational information, research links, articles by San Diego EMDR therapists and notices of upcoming San Diego events for both the public and professionals. Visit our new website to learn more about EMDR therapy or to find a highly trained San Diego EMDR therapist.
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is a psychotherapy approach that helps us heal efficiently from trauma, emotional wounds, blocks and limitations. Therapists have used EMDR with successful results in patients with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, panic attacks and many other conditions. EMDR has been approved as an effective treatment for PTSD by the American Psychological Association, American Psychiatric Association, the Department of Defense and the Veteran’s Administration.
Please Note: SanDiegoEMDR.com was not, and our new website, SanDiegoTraumaTherapy.com, is not connected legally, or in any other way, to the EMDR Institute or their website at EMDR.com. The local San Diego websites (designed to educate about EMDR locally, and to help the San Diego public access Certified EMDR clinicians) have been and continue to be completely independent from the EMDR Institute.
